R-VID Vehicle Compatibility

The R-VID is compatible with the Ford Police Interceptor Utility (Explorer-based PIU), Chevrolet Tahoe PPV, Chevrolet Suburban, and Dodge Durango Pursuit. It mounts using existing license plate hardware and requires only one hole to pass wiring into the vehicle. No drilling into the vehicle body is required for the mount itself.

Why Law Enforcement Chooses the R-VID

Eye-level rear warning lights are significantly more effective at alerting traffic than trunk or deck-mounted lights. The R-VID positions the warning light at eye level using existing license plate holes, creating a direct line of sight for approaching drivers. Installation takes approximately 15 minutes. Does the R-VID require drilling?

The mount itself does not require drilling into the vehicle body. One hole is needed to pass the wiring through into the vehicle. The license plate mounting points handle the mount itself without any modification.
